If a silent, completely secluded stay is your priority, we advise choosing accommodation outside of the central Cowes area.

Hi! We’re Kate and Rich, a couple who share a deep love for the Isle of Wight. Rich grew up on the island, where his family still lives, and our cosy cottage in Cowes holds a special place in our hearts. We decided to start hosting so others could enjoy this lovely home and experience all that the island has to offer. We’ve spent countless days staying at the cottage, enjoying the charm of Cowes and exploring the island. Our mornings often start with a refreshing sea swim, followed by breakfast and coffee at one of our favourite cafes, The Garden. We love strolling along the seafront, enjoying picnics at Queens Road Park, playing tennis at Northwood House (which is free!), and discovering new restaurants and shops. One of our most memorable adventures was walking the entire 70 miles around the island, starting and ending in Cowes. Whether by bus or car, we’ve explored every corner of this magical place and want to share it with you. Cowes is divided into two distinct towns, East and West which are connected by the iconic regular floating bridge chain ferry. West Cowes, celebrated for its prestigious yachting scene, boasts excellent facilities for various watersports and serves as a key walking and cycling hub for the island, with National Cycle Route 23 passing through. The bus station, just a 2-minute walk from our property, makes accessing the rest of the Isle of Wight a breeze.
