Nestling inside the historic city wall of Canterbury is this Grade II listed, Georgian House on Burgate, beautifully renovated to enhance its Georgian features and embrace the needs of modern family living today. Should you be looking for a cosy weekend away in the Garden of England – KENT -or a week of exploring Canterbury with its Cathedral, River Stour punting, excellent relaxed shopping at The Good Shed for local produce, historical museum visits or a play at the Marlowe theatre; this house is ideal. You could not be more centrally placed for adventures! Some of the best South coastal beaches, Whitstable, Broadstairs and Reculver, to name just a few, all worth a visit during your stay and the location of this property is perfect for Golfing enthusiasts keen for play or the Sandwich Open! The Georgian House sleeps 8 people (6 adults and 2 children), in 3 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms. Unusually for a property in Canterbury city centre, and a huge bonus for those visiting, the house has secure, private, gated parking for up to 3 cars. 1 4x4 and 2 medium cars fit easily. Internally the house has two sitting rooms, one has the main dining area within it for 8-10 people, decorated with 2 ornate, period style gas fireplaces, shuttered sash windows and gilded overmantle mirrors with 3 generous sofas for relaxation. The other sitting room is on the 1st floor arranged for board games and entertainment on a 55” flat screen smart TV. The beautiful blue kitchen has marble surfaces and is comprehensively equipped, as you would expect, with every possible utensil and homely requirement, supplied. Plus a full condiment cupboard- guests are only asked to replace any products if emptied during their stay. Appointed with a SMEG 6 RING Gas Range Cooker, two fridge /freezers, a dishwasher, washing machine, wine cooler and underfloor heating provide a beautiful environment for your luxury stay.
