Our Stylish Garden Flat in Drumnadrochit is the perfect base for Nessie spotting and visiting the famous Urquhart Castle in the Scottish Highlands. It is in a quiet residential area on the historic Lewiston Road of Drumnadrochit, just a 10- 15-minute walk from the village centre. Close to Loch Ness Centre, Urquhart Castle and local amenities like pubs, café, supermarkets, restaurants, petrol, and buses, it is an ideal base for a short or long visit. The surrounding area is stunning and magic, with great hiking trails at your doorstep: Great Glen Way, Glen Affric, ancient Balmaccan Woods, Divach Falls, etc. Within 1-2 hours by car, you can reach Fort William for Ben Nevis, Glen Coe, Isle of Skye, Cairngorms National Park, Outlander sites, and various whisky distilleries Our Flat has been renovated to a high standard with a modern bathroom, kitchen and new flooring. We have decorated the flat to create a cozy home away from home, perfect for a family holiday. It has 2 bedrooms: a spacious double bedroom for 2 adults and a small room with a bunkbed, ideal for 2 kids or a snug fit for 2 adults. Additionally, the large living room has a double sofa bed for 2 more guests. There is also an outdoor patio with a picnic table for eating outside and a free parking space for one vehicle. We live only a couple of minutes away. Our guests benefit from having a local host nearby for travel tips or assistance. Please NOTE that the flat ideally fits for 4 people, although it can host up to 6. If booking for more than 4, we recommend considering the sleeping arrangements in the small bunk room and the sofa bed in the living room (pics provided). Garden flat is 25 mins by car (16 miles) to Inverness and 40 mins (25 miles) to Inverness airport.

After 20+ years working home and abroad in mostly the corporate world, my wife and I returned to my native Scotland a few years ago. We have a daughter and decided to explore hosting as a new adventure, as well as to have a place for us to relax as a family, as we love the Loch Ness and highlands area so much for its beauty and relaxation. I'm a keen motorcyclist, I enjoy doing martial arts with my daughter, and spending as much time with my family as possible. Guests can call, text or email at any time during their stay.

The local area is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views, scenery and forest walks. Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Nessieland, Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and the bustling village green area of Drumnadrochit are all within 1 mile. The village itself offers bars, restaurants, farmers’ market on Saturdays, shops, a large tourism information centre and more. Having your own transport is the best way to get around the highlands, although there are regular buses going north to Inverness and south to Fort Augustus and Fort William from a bus stop very near to the property. There is a dedicated shortcut footpath from just outside the property to nearby shops and restaurants a 10-minute stroll away, and there are local woods with marked walkways to the local beauty spots. Drumnadrochit is a great base from which to explore the wider Scottish Highlands and Islands, with the region’s capital city, Inverness, only 12 miles away, offering excellent local, national and international public transport links.
