We offer a very comfortable room in a very quiet residential area of Lymington (Pennington). The property is on the edge of the town some 15 minutes walk into Lymington High Street. As we are outside the town centre we have reflected this difference in our pricing which is substantially lower than similar more central properties, whilst at the same time offering a quiet restful location. At the same time we have not compromised in any way on comfort or the range of our offering. We provide complimentary continental breakfast items in the room which has a kitchen area with inbuilt fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle and dining area. These include bread and milk (to guest preferences),yogurts, cereals, muesli, porridge, weetabix and granola, ham, cheese, butter, jams and marmalade, fruit, fruit juice, tea and coffee (both also decaffeinated) and bottled water. The room on the ground floor has its own quality en-suite with shower (shampoo, soap and hand creams are provided. Guests have their own private secure entrance with lockable outside area for secure storage of bicycles et cetera. The guest room is completely self contained with its own private entrance and lockable yard area. Bedding and towels will be changed for longer stays every 3/4 days. Guests can be assured of a quiet, secure and very comfortable stay in their own private area equipped with everything you may need. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided. For 2026 we have upgraded our wi-fi with a massive 700Mbps download speed, combined with a full package of TV programmes including Sky Sports, Sky Movies and many other channels.
We (Elaine and Peter) ran a very highly rated B and B in Lymington (Tripadvisor Hall of Fame) for many years (Peel House Bed and Breakfast) and have now downsized. We have a well earned reputation for service, comfort, cleanliness and attention to detail to ensure our guests enjoy their stay and are well informed about this beautiful part of the world. Guests can be assured of a quiet restful and undisturbed stay with us, whilst at the same time we are usually on hand to provide any advice or assistance you may require in exploring and enjoying this lovely part of England.
We are in a very quiet residential area in Pennington, 15 minutes level walk to the start of Lymington High Street (Waitrose). Lymington is a delightful market town situated where the New Forest meets the sea, with a famous street market every Saturday since c.1250. There are a variety of local takeaway food services at Fox Pond some 450 yards away and many pubs, restaurants and cafes within a short drive in most directions. There are delightful walks and cycle rides along the coast, in the New Forest close by and on the Isle of Wight nearby. On the edge of town there is the Iron Age hill fort at Buckland Rings. Nearby are the coastal villages of Milford on Sea and Keyhaven with a short ferry trip or walk to Hurst Castle opposite the Needles on the Isle of Wight. A short distance further into Dorset are Highcliffe and Christchurch with delightful sea views. All around us is the New Forest with its ponies, donkeys, deer and cattle roaming free, together with pigs in Pannage season - let loose to eat the acorns. Beautiful spots to visit in the forest include Beaulieu with its National Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Burley, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst with miles of walking and cycle paths in the heaths and woodland of the open forest. The Tall Trees walk and Ornamental Drive outside Brockenhurst offer the chance to wander among giant Redwood trees and Douglas firs and a little further on is the deer sanctuary at Bolderwood. Further afield are Bournemouth and Poole to the West and Southampton and Winchester to the East. The Test Valley via Romsey is a delight and Canterbury and Stonehenge are readily accessible to the north in Wiltshire. The Isle of Wight is only a 35 minute ferry crossing away from Lymington Pier to Yarmouth (or a new passenger ferry from Lymington Quay in the summer months) with excellent walks and eateries close by and easy access to the rest of the island by car or bus from the harbour.
