North Lea Cottage is in the heart of Staithes, and boasts a prominent position with idyllic views from its balcony and panoramic dining are over the bridge and down the beck to where the boats are moored. Over 200 years old this character filled fisherman's cottage with beamed ceilings, oil fired central heating and wood burning stove has been furnished to a very high standard. With easy access to the Cleveland Way you'll find coming back after a day exploring the coast a delight. Parking is very limited in Staithes and although we do not have parking at the property we do provide our guests with a free parking permit for use in the council general public car park at the top of village (Staithes bank top). Free parking spaces are not guaranteed but this has not proved to be a problem for guests in the past.
Staithes is a beautiful fishing village not far from Saltburn, Hinderwell , Runswick Bay , Sandsend and Whitby !! Places to eat- Dotty's Tea Room Cobbles Cod & Lobster (booking recommended) The Royal George The Captain Cook Seadrift Shops- The Kessen Bowl - for all your essentials, gifts, buckets, spades and pretty much all you need . Betsy & Bo - sweet shop & Deli The Emporium - beautiful Gifts The Staithes Gallery WH- I , designer clothes.
