PANDIA DETAIL
Upstairs. There's one very large master bedroom with a king-sized bed and two wonderful windows. The middle room has two single beds and a large window overlooking the garden. The end room overlooks a field and has a cosy single bed. There is a large bathroom with a shower over the bath too.
Downstairs is open plan with two large entry doors and two windows providing plenty of light.
Pandia has large doors because it was built in 1705 as a stable by the vicar to the adjacent - simple and beautiful - church. Horses used to live in the sitting room area and you can see their mangers set into the walls. The current kitchen was reserved for carriages!
The sitting room area is huge, with a sofa and two armchairs in front of the cosy fire. A large round table for meals is situated in the middle of the room. Cooks will adore the large well-stocked kitchen.
Please note the open-tread staircase linking the sitting room to the bathroom and bedrooms upstairs. No stairgate.
Children will love Pandia and exploring the grounds, and we have board games and puzzles to enjoy family nights in.
We have been welcoming visitors to Pandia since 1974! A wonderful experience for us, and - we hope - our visitors, many of whom come back and back - one keen family has come almost every year for 30 years! We look forward to meeting you, and to making your stay the best possible. We love Pandia, and would like you to love it as well. Pandia is particularly good for people who love the countryside.
We have developed booklets on local walks (which include directions and a little local history) to help you explore the area. In the immediate area we can offer interesting local archaeology and wild moorland landscapes, as well as eateries/pubs like Jamaica Inn, London Inn and others.
Some visitors love cycling around the local area, and others enjoy the easy safe and scenic cycle from Bodmin along the Camel Train down to the small port of Padstow (which passes the Camel Vineyard - great local wines) or up to the moors. Children love mountain-biking at the romantic Lanhydrock House (Nat Trust) with its amazing gardens, and Cardinham Woods. These and similar places offer attractive cafes.
