Pheasant cottage is located close to the charming hillside village of Bourton-on-the-Hill and one mile from the popular market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Moreton in Marsh has lots of nice little antiques shops on the high street to potter around in. On Tuesdays there is a lovely local market in the town centre, with a wide variety of food stalls and all sorts of other bits and pieces. There are many local cafes, pubs and restaurants, that offer quality local produce and have some great outside spaces. Cotswold Lavender (only open in the Summer) is a 15 minute drive away. Batsford Arboretum is beautiful and a five minute drive. Cotswolds Gin distillery and visitor centre is worth a visit, less than a 20 minute drive. All of the popular picturesque honey-coloured towns and villages including Broadway, Chipping Camden, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are a short drive or bus journey away. Supermarkets: Moreton in Marsh has Aldi, Co-Op and Tesco Express 5 minutes away by car or a 15 minute walk. Daylesford Farm Shop is only a 15 minute drive. A lovely organic farm shop, it also has a cafe-deli with a chic vibe offering a menu of seasonal & organic plates & salads. Restaurants: Several good Pubs/restaurants in Moreton in Marsh and surrounding villages.
