Bridge Cottage is situated down a no through road (only tractors and horses pass) off the River Cary in the small hamlet of Henley, which is down the hill from the small village of High Ham. Local amenities are a 10-15 minute drive away. Outside the Cottage are miles of pathways and walks for you and your guests to enjoy. There is one farm house over the other side of the River. You have your own rowing boat (April-October) to row down the quiet River Cary and fishing can be done from the bank. There is a local pub in High Ham called The Kings Head which has a skittle alley. If you want gastro the Halfway House has won awards for best country pub is only 10 minute drive (book well in advance !). There are a number of good pubs nearby which we will list in our house manual. Local nearby cider farms can offer you a tour of their orchards and distilleries, the nearby village of Pitney has a farm shop selling local vegetable and produce. Street with its Clarks village home to more than 90 designer and high street brands is fifteen minutes away. A peaceful cottage in beautiful Somerset countryside with local activities and attractions a short drive away.
