There are wonderful coastal walks from the property to Folkestone (1.5 miles) and Hythe (3.2 miles) and each town has a wealth of activities on offer. Folkestone provides a choice of eateries, cafes and ice cream shops as well as the renowned Rock Salt Wine bar and restaurant (bookings are a must!) The new Harbour arm is a walk back in time to see and experience life in wartime when the troops were collected by ships to sail into battle. The entire Dover to Folkestone coast is packed with wartime history. Today the arm is full of trendy street stall cafes, wine bars and entertainment. The old high street and the creative quarter welcomes you to some trendy shops and art galleries. With so much in Folkestone to enjoy you will have a jam-packed weekend and for those looking to see more the neighbouring town of Hythe has the miniature railway, the military canal with romantic boat hire and Port Lympne animal reserve park. Folkestone is located by the Eurotunnel in Cheriton and also the Dover docks - both within 15 15-minute drive from Channel View. London is less than 1.5 hours drive away and trains go in to Ashford International directly then taxi or into Folkestone Central.
