We’re Lisa and Steve Rossiter, proud hosts of Pleasant Spot, which has been our home for over 27 years. Tucked into the gentle hills of the Blackmore Vale, this beautiful corner of Dorset has given us so much over the years – space to raise our family, a connection to nature, and the joy of living alongside the animals that are very much part of our lives. The house at Pleasant Spot, Bukand Newton is set just outside the village, overlooking the rolling meadows of the Blackmore Vale and the lush, unspoiled countryside beyond. Nestled on its own private land along a gentle hillside, the property enjoys sweeping views that change beautifully with the seasons. Accessed through a secure yard—shared yet entirely separate from our personal stables—you may catch the soft sound of horses making their way in for their evening feed, a gentle reminder of the rural charm that surrounds you. From the yard, the private parking area sits conveniently beside the cottage. A fenced patio leads you to the main entrance and welcoming lobby. Believed to date back to the late 1700s, the cottage retains much of its original character. Though extended in more recent times, it continues to embody the warmth and charm of a traditional country home. Inside, calming tones, exposed beams, and low ceilings create a cosy, inviting atmosphere that immediately feels like home. The property also benefits from outdoor seating areas where you can unwind with a book, enjoy al fresco dining, or simply take in the far-reaching views across the valley.
