Prestwick Farm has been in existence since at least the 16th century and the Byre in old English is a barn for keeping cattle in the winter. Paul and Joan have recently semi retired from full time sheep and arable farming and now concentrate on the two holiday cottages on site and their 70 sheep, 6 chickens and 3 pygmy goats.
Prestwick is surrounded by the Surrey Hills and the South Downs National Park so if like us you enjoy walking, you are in an ideal place. We do encourage you and your children to get to know our goats and chickens, you are more than welcome to feed them once a day. In return they do provide us with a regular supply of fresh eggs which are available for a small charge if you wish. You are welcome to bring your dog so long as he is well behaved and respects our furniture and property. There are still sheep around so best keep on a lead.
We are midway between London and the South Coast and both are about 1 hour away so despite being in a quiet rural location we are well positioned for many and varied interests. This could be from the beach at West Wittering, the historical towns of Portsmouth and Chichester, to Legoland, Chessington and Thorpe Park, all south of London. From Haslemere the train will take you to central London in 60 minutes.
