This Grade II listed property built in the early 1800s once had a chemist’s shop on the ground floor, serving the local community from the early 1900s, right up until the 1960s. The property is now a wonderful holiday home with plenty of space for ten people. The old town is where the fishermen’s cottages, quay side and shipyards were located. All the streets of the old town are on the hillside so the wives could watch for the boats coming back in. A short walk and you are in the town centre, where you can walk through the indoor market and onto the high street. Scarborough has plenty to do for people of all ages, with two fantastic beaches and a long promenade, perfect for an evening stroll.
