Railway Cottage is a gorgeous and sensitively restored historic cottage, formerly the stationmaster's home at a now defunct railway station. Nestled in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park the cottage enjoys wonderful views and complete privacy. Access is via a private track.
The stone cottage exudes character with a design and wealth of bespoke features that sensitively respect its fascinating railway history. New high quality furnishings sit alongside wonderfully curated antique pieces that recall its Victorian and Edwardian past.
The ground floor is open plan with a huge fireplace taking centre stage in the living room, with sliding doors onto the decking. The stylish hand-built kitchen, and dining areas all enjoy views of the garden and hills. Upstairs the two large bedrooms both have antique brass double beds with a small double z-bed available for children. The main bathroom houses a sumptuous cast iron freestanding bath and separate walk-in shower.
The huge garden opens directly onto the forest and s perfectly safe for children and dogs. There is a separate outbuilding (bothy) in the corner of the garden - the perfect chill zone for teenagers!
Situated in a National Park the cottage is totally private. There are no neighbours or passing traffic to disturb you. Your company is the local wildlife - deer, sheep, woodpeckers and buzzards to name just a few.
Only three miles away is the idyllic village of Killin with its characterful pubs and bars as well as the essential amenities.
Located in the southern Highlands, the cottage is perfectly located to enjoy all Scotland has to offer - great walks, hiking, cycling, waterspouts, heritage trails etc are all literally on our doorstep.
