Bridport is a fantastic countryside town with a range of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Every Wednesday and Saturday there is a traditional market and the town has many second hand furniture shops which can entertain for hours. Nearby at Westbay, scene of the TV series ‘Broadchurch’, and the small village of Eype, you can take in some great coastal scenery, walking, fossil hunting and seaside activities such as fishing, boating and swimming. Explore this spectacular coast from Lyme Bay in the west all the way to Weymouth and Portland in the east, with many family attractions to call on. Inland Mapperton Gardens, Forde Abbey and Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum for family days out are worth a call, or perhaps a trip to Exeter, Sherborne or Dorchester might take your fancy.
