The Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the village of Babcary in rural Somerset . Within walking distance of the Red Lion pub, and located on various footpaths and cycle routes, its an ideal location to explore the countryside. Located close to the A303 and Castle Cary train station, an ideal base for further exploration to the south coast , north Devon, and popular Somerset tourist destinations.
The Lodge has parking for two vehicles and an enclosed garden area with raised decking .
The Ridge and Furrow lodge gets its name from the historical ridge and furrow field system that the property is built on . These are thought to date back to medieval times and are still evident on the surrounding land. Sat on the outskirts of the village of Babcary with views stretching out to Glastonbury Tor in one direction, and Cadbury Castle in the other.
Private allocated parking on site . Castle Cary train station is only 7 miles away which gives opportunity to travel to Weymouth on the south coast , or explore Bristol and Bath. Perfect location for fantastic walks and cycling with footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep.
