River Walk is a beautiful house ,its impossible to feel anything but happy and relaxed in our clean ,comfortable, warm house. Set in a conservation area(actually built on the fields of Shrewsbury Castle ) it is a quiet neighbourhood right next to the river. The house is fully equipped with everything you can think of when your away from home.Free Private parking is rare with property this close to town and is a must in this area .With the whole house to yourselves there is ample space to relax and unwind and the garden is a sunny spot for those who love the outdoor option. Guests have the option to walk along the riverside into town (10 mins )here you may see the otters living on the banks or watch the salmon jumping (literally 2 mins from the house ).The river walk can be exited at any time or if you prefer you can walk on , until you find yourself in the Quarry Park where 'SHREWSBURY FLOWER SHOW ' is held annually. If you prefer to walk via the period properties of this pretty conservation area it takes again 10 minutes to cross over a footbridge popping out between the historic train station and Shrewsbury Castle in the centre historic Shrewsbury. The location is great , with the river and town on your doorstep . The option to cross over a very pretty foot bridge, will to deliver you to the other side of the river where you can explore Beautiful Shrewsbury Abby at your leisure . With many return guests you can see what makes our home a perfect base to explore shropshire. We have an award winning local pub just 5 mins away if you feel like being a local, along with the Weir cafe set on the river if you want someone to cook breakfast for you (2 mins). Everything our historical town has to offer is at your fingertips from historic tours to river cruises , just park your car and begin to relax. Shrewsbury castle is 10 mins by foot , Shrewsbury prison -now an experience open to the public is 10 mins away, beautiful Shrewsbury Abby can be explored by crossing the pedestrian bridge over the river . The Whole town centre is on your doorstep- with the option of the natural river route or walk through this pretty conservation area and pop out at the castle (10 mins ). The town centre is 10 mins walk where you will find an abundance of fantastic bars ,quality eateries ,shops, galleries, historic buildings and of course the beautiful Quarry Park. If you want a " day away " hop on the train for approx twelve pounds and visit the historic town of Ludlow or a day at the coast , with the train station next to the castle its a 10 minute stroll. The weir is across from our house , here you can see the salmon jumping -its quite something to see . There is a pretty river cafe here where you can relax , feed the baby goats and other animals whilst planning your day ahead . The approach into shrewsbury is simply the prettiest route into town , from the river you can access absolutely everything the town has to offer. The conservation area has an award winning local pub(Dog and Pheasant ) just 5 mins away for those who prefer to stay local a must for dog lovers or those who appreciate a quality drink.
