Bridge Stores was built in the 1600's as reed cutters cottages. The shop at the front on to the road was added in late 1800's. It is on the banks of the river Waveney on the Norfolk broads in the lovely village of St Olaves. The lodge is a former marine workshop and sail loft. this was added in the 1950's.
Alison is host. A local from |Oulton Broad nearby. Coming from a family with boat builders and fishermen as ancestors. Hobbies are anything marine. Dog walking. Metal detecting. Alison has two adult children.
St Olaves is a lovely village on the A143 road between Gt Yarmouth and Beccles. It was originally a Viking port, hundreds of years ago. We have the Priory ruin in the village that can be visited and entered during daylight hours. There is also the Priory restaurant and The Bell Inn to visit. Lots of different walks nearby. Somerlyton village is 1.5 to 2 miles agay.
