As a family we’ve lived in Ollerton Village for over 30 years, running a B&B and holiday cottages, giving us a wealth of experience specialising in short term holiday rentals. Living a short walk away from our cottage’s in Ollerton and just 2 miles from Edwinstowe, we are more than happy to greet you on arrival or if you prefer, you can gain access to your holiday home with a key safe box at all of our properties. My team and I are on hand to offer any advice or answer any questions you may have, prior to and throughout your stay. Over the years we have gained extensive knowledge of the local area and surroundings should you wish to know anything please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Property information

The Ropemaker’s Cottage is a lovely home right in the centre of Ollerton village, located close to Newark in Nottinghamshire. An enviable location nestled in the heart of the village boasting very short walks to two lovely local pubs, a superb Italian restaurant and an award winning tearoom beautifully positioned next to the quaint watermill and stream running opposite. The house offers free WiFi, a Nest heating system, a separate boot / utility room and secure storage for bikes / golf clubs in an outbuilding to the rear of the property. It is ideal for exploring the surrounding country parks and estates, with plenty of walking and cycling trails nearby. Ropemakers cottage is located close to the picturesque Church of St Giles, church bells can sometimes be heard in the property.

There is a good choice of supermarkets, takeaways and small shops close by with Tesco, Asda, Co-op all less than a mile away. It is ideal for exploring the surrounding country parks and estates, National Trust places and has plenty of walking and cycling trails, as well as the stunning golf courses close by - Rufford Country Park (2 miles), Sherwood Forest (4 miles), Sherwood Pines (4 miles), Slumber Park (7 miles), Newark Castle (13 miles) and Nottingham city centre (19 miles).
