Rosella Cottage is nestled in the heart of the North York Moors in the peaceful valley of Rosedale. The area was part of 19th industrial Yorkshire, with its ironstone mines, kilns and moorland railway. Today the pretty Rosedale Abbey village is ideal for those looking to take time out and enjoy rural life. You can enjoy long walks exploring the moors and valleys. Discover Blakey Ridge to the Northwest and follow the River Seven as it flows to the River Rye near Malton. Rosedale is also famous for its glass so be sure to check out the glass blowing workshop which was established here several years ago. Just 15 minutes away by car, you’ll find the small market town of Kirkbymoorside. While you’re here, explore the amazing art galleries which burst with unique artwork. Kirkbymoorside’s market square boasts award-winning, independent shops, and a 760-year-old weekly market where you can find heaps of local produce.
