A good place to catch up over a drink and tasty local fare following the days adventures. Due to its rural location, you can enjoy some amazing star gazing on a clear night. Oban, known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, has a wide range of seafood & fish restaurants and an excellent fish shop if you wish to cook your own. A visit to the Green Seafood Shack on the quayside is a must for those who love their shellfish. The town is otherwise known as the Gateway to the Isles with the Calmac ferry terminal on South Pier giving access by boat to Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Lismore and Barra. And there’s a handy water taxi across to Oban’s nearest island – Kerrera – from the town’s North Pier.
