Sproxton Hall Cottages are four holiday cottages at a single location in rural North Yorkshire. Owned by Helen and Dave Wells since summer 2018, the cottages have been lovingly renovated and modernised inside and out.

Ryedale Cottage is set in tranquil countryside with stunning views from its picture windows over the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage blends modern home comforts with historic features. Our location is just outside of Helmsley (less than 2 miles) and the North York Moors National Park, with the benefit of easy access to a range of tourist destinations and sporting activities. Ryedale is single storey and sleeps four (in two bedrooms).

Sproxton Hall Cottages are a stand alone property in open countryside, located beyond the hamlet of Sproxton and down a private road. We have stunning views over the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sproxton is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park about less than 2 miles from the picturesque market town of Helmsley and 6 miies from Sutton Bank (A170). We are in a tranquil location in a rural agricultural community, but with the benefit of easy access to a range of tourist destinations and sporting activities. It is an ideal base for moors, coast & York. The cottage is popular with walkers, cyclists and families wanting to explore North Yorkshire - we are within easy reach of the North Yorkshire coast (Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay), Pickering, York, Castle Howard. We are a stones throw from Ampleforth Abbey, the White Horse at Kilburn and the stunning views of Sutton Bank. York is less than 25 miles away and has been voted Britain's most popular city due to its castle, walls, museums, shops and Minster - York is particularly popular with our guests whatever the weather. The picturesque steam railway from Pickering crosses Goathland/Heartbeat country and Harry Potter station, to the coast at Whitby; Flamingo Land (near Malton) offers a different kind of day out - with its zoo and theme park - as does Lightwater Valley at Ripon. Ripon is also home to Fountains Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cottage is popular with couples of all ages, families and single visitors - often keen walkers or visitors wanting to spend time in the North York Moors and surrounding areas. Popular attractions for children include Helmsley castle and heated outdoor swimming pool, Go Ape at Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land, and the chocolate and Viking experiences at York.
