This charming 16th century coaching inn with 27 refurbished en suite bedrooms, a bar and a restaurant is situated opposite the Norman Minster and close to the town of Newark. All the rooms at The Saracens have free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All rates include a full English breakfast. The Saracens Head mixes the old with the new; offering modern comforts to complement its rich history, which dates even further back than its visit from King Charles in 1642. The inn offers conferencing and banqueting facilities in elegant surroundings. Due to the historic nature of the building there is no lift on the premises, and all rooms are at least 1 floor up. If you have mobility issues, please contact us directly so that we can accommodate you as best as possible The Bar and Lounge are open Wednesday- Saturday for coffees, cake, and drinks daily from 10am to 8pm The King Charles Restaurant serves food: Wednesday: 12:00 – 14:30 17:00 – 20:00 Thursday: 12:00 – 14:30 17:00 – 20:00 Friday: 12:00 – 14:30 17:00 – 20:00 Saturday: 12:00 – 14:30 17:00 – 20:00 Sunday: 12:00 - 15:00 Enjoy our delightful lunches whilst relaxing outside in the Garden or comfortable King Charles Lounge. In the evening enjoy our A La Carte menu in the oak paneled King Charles Restaurant. All this food lovingly cooked and prepared by our Chef Andy Crouch.
