We are a family run business who prides ourselves on providing exceptional accommodation to both corporate and leisure guests on a short and mid term rental basis across the United Kingdom. The name Above Rubies, stems from our desire to truly value and appreciate our guests and go above and beyond to meet their accommodation needs. We believe that our guests are the foundation of our business and that their worth is far Above Rubies! We understand that our business is based on relationships with people, and we nurture these relationships with our guests, partners, and also our staff, just as we would with family.
8:18 Properties continues to go from strength to strength and our passion for property started with our sister property staging company; Stage It. We stage Serviced Accommodation, HMO's and Student Properties, as well as providing interior styling services to our clients. As our business has grown, so has our passion for all things property and Above Rubies was founded.
We are passionate about making properties feel like a home and are here to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Property information
This stunning, newly refurbished house is kitted out with all you need for the ideal get away; whether you're in Skipton for work or play. Situated just 60 yards from the Canal where you can take a scenic stroll straight into Skipton town centre and all the amenties it has to offer with its fantastic shops, cafes and restaurants in 15min.
This super stylish, spacious house has recently been refurbished to a high standard making it the perfect choice for your stay. Free on street parking and a large patio area at the back to sit out and enjoy the sun make it even more desirable.
The house boasts a large, light, open plan living space, which spans the whole of the ground floor. On one side is a full kitchen complete with Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Washing Machine, Fridge, Freezer, Pots & Pans and everything else you need to make this a home from home whatever your cooking requirements. On the other side of the room is the spacious living area, which has 2 comfortable leather sofas, providing enough seating for everyone while watching the 50inch smart TV, which comes with Netflix and Sky included. We also have an Alexa speaker available for you to use.
Upstairs there is a beautiful double bedroom and a separate twin bedroom that has 2 single beds (a third single bed can also be made available in this room). All beds come with good quality mattresses ensuring you have a comfortable night’s sleep, whichever bed you choose. Both bedrooms also have stylish and contemporary furniture where you can store/hang your clothes. A travel cot can also be provided upon request. There is a full bath room with separate walk-in shower as well as a bath with shower over. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided for you.
The entrance to the patio is through the back of the house; it’s a great space to enjoy your morning coffee or to chill out in the summer evenings.
Neighbourhood information
Sawley cottage is located on a peaceful, residential street. The house is just 60 yards (less than 1min) away from the Leeds and Liverpool Canal - boasting beautiful scenic walks along the canal into Skipton town centre (15min) in one direction and Gargrave and beyond in the opposite direction. Skipton is full of boutique shops, cool coffee houses and cafes, traditional pubs, micro breweries and wine bars too! There are also restaurants galore.
Skipton, billed as the "Gateway to the Dales" for its location on the southern border of the national park. In addition to its award-winning High Street, Skipton has a thriving market that runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, a fantastically well-preserved medieval castle, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Skipton is the perfect base for a walking or cycling holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Bicycle hire is readily available through several local bike shops for visitors who want to enjoy Yorkshire's favourite pastime. You can climb aboard the heritage Settle to Carlisle Railway or take a mainline service to Leeds or Morecambe for day trips. Harrogate, Keighley, Haworth and Bronte country, Grassington, Ilkey, Otley, Coach Street and Malham are all great destinations in any season. Local footpaths include routes going through Skipton Woods, over Barden Moor, to Sharp Haw and Flasby, Barden to Simon's Seat, Bolton Abbey, and around Rylstone and Cracoe. Mountain bikers can challenge themselves on Threshfield Moor by taking the loop to the Weets from Bolton Abbey, exploring Embsay Crag, or following the canal path beside the cottage and through the woods Silsden and Ilkleymoor. The Dales Way and Yorkshire Three Peaks routes are also close. With the Yorkshire Dales National Park practically on the doorstep, as well as the Nidderdale, and Forest of Bowland - Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty within a few miles, you won't run out of things to keep you occupied during your stay!
