Built around 1840, Shoemakers Cottage was once leased by a shoemaker. Now a stylish, cosy and well appointed home, it's the perfect stay for up to 5 people and a baby. Situated on a quiet residential street, it's just a few minutes walk from the sea front. Close to the beach, town and royal harbour, it's the perfect base for your seaside getaway. With plenty of space to relax, dine and enjoy, Shoemakers Cottage is a unique holiday home to make happy seaside memories!
I love the Kent coast and feel very relaxed here. There is so much to do in the local area, from exploring the sandy beaches, trying out the many restaurants and bars and burning it off on long walks and cycle routes. The cottage is situated close to the front on a quiet back street with comfy beds, I'm sure you'll get a good nights sleep here. We hope you enjoy Shoemakers Cottage as much as we do. Ramsgate is a vibrant, creative town and its beautiful, Georgian architecture and original flint buildings give a stunning backdrop to the towns rich nautical history and fun vibe. A hub for artists and musicians, there's always something going on. From Shoemaker's Cottage it's a 10 minute walk down to the Royal Harbour and marina, with independent shops and antiques to discover in the arches. There are many places to eat and drink nearby and we've provided an extensive list of places to try in our Things To Do Guide...and then there's the beach...Ramsgate Main Sands, a huge sandy shore just a 5 minute walk away, accessible via Kent Place Steps opposite Albion Place Gardens. Or meander along the Viking Trail towards the beaches of Broadstairs or Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, in either direction it's a beautiful stretch of coastline. If you dont have a car, take the Viking trail from Ramsgate to Margate by foot or cycle. You can also take the Loop bus all around Thanet. The nearest bus stop is on Plains of Waterloo, just a minute away.
