Smugglers Cottage blends 17th-century charm with modern style. Original beams, exposed brickwork, and wooden floors showcase its heritage, while Limecrete floors, bare plaster walls, and reclaimed radiators add a contemporary edge. Comfort is assured with underfloor heating, premium appliances, and quality mattresses for a cosy stay year-round. The inviting living room features a sofa, armchairs, and a smart TV with catch-up apps (BBC iPlayer, ITVX) and streaming services like Netflix and Prime (guest login required). The sleek open-plan kitchen extension is fully equipped, including a Nespresso Pixie Carmine coffee machine. At the rear, a dining table for five sits beneath a stunning glass extension with floor-to-ceiling windows. A convenient downstairs WC is located by the back door. Step through glass doors into your private garden with bistro seating, perfect for unwinding after exploring. Upstairs, the first floor offers two stylish bedrooms: a master with a king-size bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers with mirror, and hanging space; and a second with a cosy double bed and ample storage. On the top floor, a characterful bathroom boasts exposed brick, cottage beams, a bathtub, separate shower, and WC. Across the landing, a utility room provides a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board. Best for adults, older children (10+) or babies in arms. Not ideal for guests with mobility issues or very young children due to steep stairs, second-floor bathroom, and glass panel to the garden. Located in Margate old town—summer months can be lively. Earplugs provided for light sleepers. High chair and travel cot available for hire—please enquire before booking. Up to two small dogs welcome. Please keep pets off furniture (unless covered) and clean up after them in the garden. Parking in the direct vicinity is paid for (car parks and bays) and free parking within a 10 minute walk.
