Village setting on the edge of the Peak District with excellent train links to Manchester. Spacious 2 bed bungalow with large lounge, separate dining room, 2 beds (1 en-suite) & family bathroom. Delightful private Mediterranean style garden & off road parking. Ideal base for walkers (direct trains to Edale etc) & cyclists (Middlewood Way). Walking distance to Marple village with its individual shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema & Marple's 16 canal lock flight, Brabyns Park & the Roman Lakes

Retired school business manager with an excellent track record of hosting guests at my bungalow. I have travelled extensively myself and know how important it is for guests to feel at home, in a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment. My place is ideal for young families, people with mobility difficulties, (as there are no stairs) and anyone who would prefer to have exclusive use of such a property as mine with its private garden. Along with this, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with all the usual household appliances.

The neighbourhood is very quiet and residential. The terrain is flat, surprising as it is surrounded by hills and valleys. 460 metres from the nearest grocery store and pub/restaurant and 480 metres from Rose Hill railway station (direct trains to Manchester Piccadilly, approx 20 minutes). Marple railway station is one mile away with direct trains both to Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield via New Mills and Edale. One mile from the centre of Marple with a range of shops/cafes/restaurants/cinema and theatre. A variety of countryside walks/hikes and safe cycling (Middlewood Way) from the doorstep. The Macclesfield canal and Marple's 16 lock flight is a 15 minute walk away. Right on the edge of the Peak District and all it has to offer. The National Trust's Lyme Park is 5 miles away.
