The hotel is close to the Trans Pennine trail and also the Bridgewater Canal for those guests wishing to take a scenic walk. Lymm Dam is also within easy reach of the hotel and has been marked as an area of great magnificence and serenity.
Lymm village is a 7 minute walk away, the village is steeped in history, it has a cobbled centre with a sandstone cross dating backing from the 17th century. Another local place to visit is Slitten Gorge where evidence of the ancient salt mines can be found.
