The quiet country lanes of Sandford St Martin are lined with Cotswold stone cottages, just a stone’s throw from glamorous Soho Farmhouse. Working with a designer, the owners of Stoneleigh have ensured it is perfectly in-keeping with this area, its elegant contemporary details sitting hand-in-hand with the traditional history of the cottage. A gorgeous open plan living area encompasses the ground floor while two en-suite king-size bedrooms are up on the first floor. Stoneleigh’s delights continue in the garden which has been carefully landscaped with planted borders surrounding a dining terrace and casual seating area. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. Stoneleigh accepts 4 guests including adults and children over the age of 10. Infants are not accepted. A barbecue is not provided at Stoneleigh. Stoneleigh is one of our pet-free properties and therefore dogs and other pets are not permitted. The staircase at Stoneleigh is steep and narrow with a rope handrail, please take care. The neighbouring property has right of passage to take their bins out through the side access.

The village of Sandford St Martin is a great location for exploring with Oxford (14 miles), Woodstock and Blenheim (7 miles) and the northeastern end of the Cotswolds, particularly Chipping Norton, just 7 miles away. It’s a pretty and tranquil village, with mostly period, Cotswold ironstone houses and a church, St Martin’s, dating back to 1273. Opposite the church is the impressive Sandford Park, a Grade II* listed building built in 1700. Take a stroll around the village to the cricket green and you’ll feel as though you have stepped back in time. The village is also surrounded by footpaths and bridleways to the equally charming villages of Ledwell, Little Tew and Great Tew.
