Precious Barn is a wonderful newly-renovated self-catering property in a 400-year old stone barn. Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park the Barn is in the village of Skelton. Less than two minutes' walk away is the Dog & Gun Inn, a Michelin-starred pub. The property is a perfect base for couples who want a countryside escape for hiking, cycling, or exploring the many historical sites nearby.
Matt's love of the Lake District stretches back to childhood, and he's delighted to be able to help other people now discover this amazing landscape by hosting them at his property.
Skelton is a delightful little (population: 1,153) working village located just outside the Lake District National Park. The village is surrounded by picturesque fields full of sheep, horses, and cows. The village pub - The Dog & Gun Inn - has put Skelton on the nation's culinary map when it was (rightly) awarded a Michelin star in 2022. Church House is located on the edge of the village, next to the 700 years old St Michael's Church.
