Swallow Barn is close to the vibrant town of Penrith and within reach of many places of interest in the Lake District to explore. This property is a delight to stay at and ideally suited to couples and those looking for a relaxing break or if on their own for pleasure or business trips. The guest bedroom boasts great space, luxurious bedding a super king size Simba mattress alongside, a 43” flatscreen smart TV, ample hanging space, tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is for your own use and not shared with us and is just outside your bedroom. Well behaved dogs are more than welcome to enjoy the unique experience of a stay at Swallow Barn. Free parking is available for all guests for the duration of their stay. The courtyard is available for sitting outside in better weather. When making a booking please can you state your planned arrival time so I can be here to meet you upon arrival you. I will contact you in the morning of your arrival to give you more detailed directions on finding Swallow Barn. YOUR DOGS: Your dogs are very welcome and can stay for free. We do NOT allow dogs on the bed. Please ensure that you bring their bedding. Please advise us of what dog breed/s you wish to bring as some dog breeds may not be permitted to stay if they are classed as a dangerous dog. Your dog must not be aggressive to us or our own dogs. Guest with reduced mobility: Please be aware that the property has uneven surfaces with steps in the courtyard and therefore a wheelchair can not be used to access the property. Also please be aware that there is no walk in shower but a bath/shower only. FOOD: 2 pubs are located in Eamont Bridge. The Beehive or The Crown. (Booking is advisable for both)There are some nice places to eat in Penrith town also and if you to eat in, Foodhub has a list of places and we can provide you with plates and cutlery in your room. PARKING: Parking Is available for 1 vehicle and is included in the rate.

STEVE: I was an ex British Airways long haul cabin crew servicing in premium cabins such as Business and First. I looked after many celebrities and important dignitaries. I treat all of my customers/guests like I would want to be treated myself and understand the importance of making people feel special and cared for at all times. ADAM: I used to run a well know catering van in Hertfordshire, dealing with regulars and getting to know my customers well. It involved many early, dark mornings and extremely cold ones during the winter. We moved to Cumbria in March 2021. I have had a few renovations carried out such as the courtyard and spacious block paved driveway with CCTV. We have two well behaved Labrador's called Willow and Winnie and a well behaved Whippet called Jess. For guests not keen on dogs we will ensure that they are all kept away from guests at all times. We treat our guests like they are family or friends of ours visiting. it's important to us that you are made to feel welcome and should you need something you may have forgotten such as a razor or charger, please just ask us.

A short drive from the M6 and A66 just off the A6 within a small private residential enclosure, Kemplay Foot Farm is located, coming from Penrith roundabout you will see Swallow Barn on your right before the traffic lights. 2 pubs in Eamont Bridge which both serve great food. Tim Hortons has just opened just off the roundabout going onto Penrith. There are a couple of walks either side of the river should you need to take your dogs for a walk nearby. Not far is the heritage site of King Arthur’s round table dating from about 2000 BC. Brougham Castle and Hall are walking distance too should you wish to see some local history during your stay here.
