Lovely cottage set in the grounds of old stables, plenty of outdoor space and furniture outside. Patio gets the sun, nice grounds to walk around and village with a friendly pub.

Relax into this stunning, specially adapted lodge set within the old stables on the owner’s farm in the delightful village of East Rudham. With rural views, Hewie's cottage is on one level and have been carefully created to incorporate the assisted living requirements of the independent wheelchair user. Sam’s and Hewies’s cottages can also be taken together to provide a self-contained space for four guests.

Neighbourhood information

East Rudham is a pretty Norfolk village situated a 20-minute drive from the North Norfolk coast. Village amenities include an excellent pub, The Crown, a tea room serving delicious cakes, an excellent butcher, and small village shop. Plenty of local walks and cycle routes traverse East Rudham. The nearby market town of Fakenham hosts a busy market and auction on Thursdays. The town is home to some wonderful attractions. Fakenham Racecourse is one of the finest rural national hunt horse racecourses in the country attracting top rated horses and riders and, a couple of miles down the road, you will find the award-winning Pensthorpe Natural Park, home to Europe's finest collection of endangered and exotic water birds. There are miles of board walks through the reserve to explore, and hides for bird watchers to spot the local wildlife. The town is also home to Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve, nationally and internationally recognised as important for the wildlife resides there. Rich poppy meadows and fields of lavender fragrance the air throughout the summer months. Sculthorpe Mill is unique dining experience and was voted by the Sunday Times as the best restaurant/ hotel in the East of England 2021. Previously a watermill, and built atop the River Wensum in 1757, it is now a beautiful country pub, set in the heart of the glorious Norfolk countryside. A 30-minute drive away, Thursford hosts the famous Christmas Spectacular, Santa’s Magical Journey and the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs which draws visitors from around the world. Thursford Steam Museum hosts the world's largest collection of steam engines and organs. Many stately homes are open to the public, including Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall, HM The King's residence of Sandringham, The beautiful beaches of Brancaster, Holme-next-the-Sea, and Wells-next-the-Sea are all within reach via car, as is the superb boutique shopping destination of Burnham Market.
