Step inside to a welcoming open-plan living space featuring a comfortable double bed, along with an additional inflatable bed for two if required. The compact kitchen includes everything you need for simple meals — an air fryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and induction hob. Complimentary WiFi is provided, and while we don’t have a television, many guests appreciate the chance to unplug and enjoy cosy evenings with books, conversation, or quiet relaxation. A distinctive feature of The Biscuit Box is its eco-friendly compost toilet, which is not connected to the mains sewerage system. This sustainable solution is clean, simple, and kind to the environment, offering a low-impact alternative while still maintaining comfort. The bathroom also includes a modern shower and handbasin for everyday convenience. Our peaceful location offers easy access to the Lake District and surrounding attractions: Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are just 25 minutes away, Brougham Castle is 20 minutes, and Whinlatter Forest 25 minutes for woodland adventures. Derwentwater and Catbells can be reached within an hour, making day trips effortless and rewarding. We warmly welcome dogs — this rural setting is perfect for four-legged explorers.
