The Bolthole is a charming two bedroom holiday cottage situated in the Oxfordshire village of Nuneham Courtenay. The village is six miles south of Oxford and 22 miles north west of Reading. This exceedingly pretty country cottage which has been styled by the owner with a carefully chosen mix of fabrics and furnishings. The entrance to the cottage is at the rear garden of the property. The country-style kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for a short or long stay; quality chinaware, cooking equipment, electric induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer. The quartz work surfaces offer a fantastic workspace. There is a cosy dining room with a table and chairs for three guests. The living room has been styled with a range of colours and fabrics to create a homely feel; the comfortable sofa and easy chairs are perfect for relaxing in front of the flat screen TV after a busy day. On the ground floor there is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and wash basin. The bedrooms are located on the first floor, please note that the stairs are steep. Bedroom one has a comfortable single bed with cosy throws and furnishing, a chair and bureau. The second bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed with luxury throws and furnishings, there is a chest of drawers for storage and a chair. There is additional hanging space in the hallway cupboard. The cottage benefits from a beautiful rear garden with patio and garden furniture. There is off street parking for up to two cars. The home has WiFi throughout as well as electric heating and a wood burning stove. Please note: There are occasional peacocks in the garden which visit from a nearby estate. The peacocks are large but very pretty and a delight to watch. However, if you are Ornithophobic or have an allergy to feathers this cottage may not be for you!

The renowned Oxford University Harcourt Arboretum is located in the village, and there are a multitude of country walks and fantastic pubs and restaurants within a few miles drive. For something special you can head to Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in nearby Great Milton, or the Crazy Bear restaurant in nearby Stadhampton. The Bolthole is also the perfect retreat if you are visiting Oxford, or planning an extended stay to work or relocate in the area.
