In the glorious North Devon Countryside, perched on the River Taw amid the scenic landscape of the Tarka Trail, this relaxed hotel offers a comfortable retreat to nature. The friendly country hotel is known for its excellent, traditional food made using fine local produce. Local ciders and Real Ale are served in the bar and you can enjoy a meal on the garden terrace. Rooms have a flat-screen TV and free wireless internet access. The Fox & Hounds Country Hotel has 4 miles of salmon and trout fishing, and shooting, riding and walking are close by. The hotel is a great base for exploring North Devon, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Pets and children are welcome. We are a very dog friendly hotel and dogs are permitted anywhere guests can go, including the bar and dining areas.
