Padstow is also home to Rick Stein’s culinary empire, including restaurants, delis, cafés, a cookery school and a fish and chip shop, which is at the start of the Camel Trail, an off road, multi-use trail that follows the shoreline of the River Camel as it flows inland to Wadebridge and Bodmin. You can hire bikes to enjoy this flat trail and enjoy a lunch or ice cream in the pretty town of Wadebridge. For a great day out, catch the ferry from the quayside and cross the mouth of the estuary to Rock, a favourite with the Royals.
