A beautifully refurbished, private annexe in the heart of Lymington. The Hut is next to, but separate from our family home, with your own private access, parking, and pretty garden/patio area.
We are based on a busy main road, but the Hut is set far enough back behind the house so that you don’t really hear the road and the bedroom windows face the garden so it’s nice and peaceful upstairs.
The downstairs has a comfortable living space, dining/work area, unlimited Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker and Smart TV with Netflix. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need and we provide complimentary tea bags, coffee sachets, hot chocolate and sugar.
The bathroom is also downstairs and has a waterfall shower over bath. We provide big towels, lots of toilet paper, and complimentary locally produced organic toiletries.
The bedroom is on the upper floor in an open maisonette style (ie. no door at the top or bottom of the stairs). The luxurious superking bed is nestled in the eaves of the Hut so please be aware there is restricted headroom. There is a hairdryer, big cosy dressing gowns, and the bed linen is anti-allergy, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton.
The Hut is a 5 minute walk from the top of the High Street, with an array of supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants, and a 30min walk to the marinas, Yacht Club, and Sea Water Baths.
Hi, I'm Anna and I live in Lymington with my husband David, and two young daughters. I grew up in the area and moved back a few years ago from London when we had our first daughter. David and I are both keen sailors, we love everything Lymington has to offer, and hope you do too!
We live next to The Hut so are always on hand if you need us, but we will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. You can access the property by a coded key safe, so can check in as late as you like. We can be contacted by email or phone (before, during and after your stay), for any queries, help with information etc.
We provide a welcome pack with lots of local information, ideas on what to do, where to eat etc, so that you can make the most out of your stay at The Hut. If you are looking for ideas or want to pre book restaurants, tickets etc before you arrive, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist.
The historic Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the south coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants.
A good range of shops, supermarkets (Waitrose, M&S, Tesco’s), and a large choice of restaurants and bars are all within walking distance.
Lymington High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday, which dates back to the 13th century. At the bottom of the High Street, a cobbled road leads down to the Old Town Quay, which is still used by a number of commercial fishing boats. There is often a chance to buy fresh fish on the waterfront.
The New Forest National Park offers a huge range of leisure activities such as walking, horse riding, archery, golf, clay pigeon shooting, cycling, and water sports, including kayaking, canoeing and sailing.
The Hut is ideally located for access to everything Lymington has to offer by foot. The surrounding towns and villages of the New Forest are also easily accessed by car, bus, train and taxi.
Lymington Town train station is a 15 minute walk away and connects to Lymington Pier, where you can get a ferry by foot or car to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, and Brockenhurst which has regular direct trains to London Waterloo.
There is a bus stop a few yards from the house, with a regular bus service to Southampton and Bournemouth as well as all the surrounding areas.
