This romantic bolt-hole for two sits in the picturesque Cornish fishing village of Mousehole, 3 miles west of Penzance A short scenic bus ride that runs every 20 minutes to and from Penzance train station. The harbour sea front is two minutes’ walk from The Langley Tarne, as are many wonderful restaurants, shops and galleries.

The picturesque fishing village of Mousehole has retained much of its old-world charm with its narrow streets filled with stunning galleries, independent shops such as the Hole Food deli and brilliant restaurants like 2 Fore Street. Mousehole’s Christmas lights are a huge attraction and bring many visitors to the village. There are lots of festive things to enjoy followed by mugs of hot mulled wine and mince pies in The Old Coastguard. The Sea Salts and Sail Festival mid-July is a photographer’s dream; this nostalgic event is enormous fun. Newlyn is a lovely two mile walk from Mousehole along the promenade. The Newlyn Art Gallery is home to many wonderful artworks from the Newlyn school of artists. A short drive away is the coastal town of Penzance. Wander through the town and you will likely come across Chapel Street; the most historic street in Penzance. Filled with a vibrant array of independent galleries, cafes, restaurants and shops. Look out on the water and you will see the magnificent, ancient fortress that is St Michaels Mount; with its remarkable subtropical gardens, expansive lawns and quaint harbour village you have so much to discover. For a unique experience like no other head over to The Minack Theatre a spectacular open-air theatre perched on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a tour around the grounds or grab tickets for a show you won’t forget. Looking for the UK’s biggest art deco sea water lido? The Jubilee Pool is perfect for the whole family; enjoy the main pool or head on over to the Geothermal Pool and unwind and if getting in the water isn’t for you then sit back and relax at the café.
