Ashbourne is a very pretty place.. small boutique style shops a leisure centre offering all the usual activities. Carrington water is only 15 mins away with water sports, restaurants and shops. Dove Dale is extremely picturesque with lots of walking along the river and through the dales. Balewell and Chatsworth House are only 30 mins away and of course Alton Towers is 15 mins away. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area and bananas loads of small villages to explore.
