Dated from 1450 this gorgeous gem of an original Tudor house is located within walking distance to the town centre, shops, the post office, library and good pubs and takeaways. The area is popular with walkers, with Offa’s Dyke and Hergest Ridge close at hand (or rather foot!). Delightful Hay-On-Wye and even the Welsh coast are not too far away. The hotel in town has a lovely swimming pool, gym and spa and offers a discount to our guests. We have a pretty little courtyard garden at the back with adjacent parking for one car (further cars can be parked 1min walk away). It’s a very characterful house with many original features, but now with all the modern comforts you can wish for, including a log burner. All in all it’s a beautiful well-equipped self-catering cottage - we have tried to include everything our guests might need. You might be interested to know that because of the age of the property it has some delightful quirks. Some of the doorways are quite low so tall guests may need to duck. The front door opens via a step into the pavement. We estimate that kiddies under 5 years and folks with limited mobility may struggle on the various steps and stairs.

We have travelled a lot over the years and lived in Zimbabwe for a long time, where we picked up the concept of hosting.
