The Northwood is a grand building with high ceilings and period features, built when houses were built of clay bricks and slop moulded cornice at high level. Maintained to the highest standard, rooms nicely decorated to blend the old and the new. Modern central heating, double-glazed and all internal walls sound insulated with high speed Wi-Fi throughout.

The Northwood is in the costal village of Rhos on Sea part of Colwyn Bay with Llandudno close by all in North Wales. Our sandy beach has for many years been awarded the converted “Blue Flag” award showing our beach to be safe and clean. In 2014 we had 500,000 square cubit meters of fresh sand put on our beach and now have a “sandy clean beach” even at high tide. Day or night you will find fishermen and woman fishing from the promenade wall as well as 2, 4 & 8hr day sea fishing trips into the bay of Colwyn. We have a water sports centre where you can hire sailboats, canoes or surfboards. Weekend see all the jet skies out playing in our protected bay. Rhos on Sea have a mountain zoo and, on both foot and horse, many trekking paths. If you feel up to it there is now a coastal footpath completely around Wales for you to walk. With the sea on one side of us and the Snowdon National Park on the other Rhos on Sea is the perfect place to stay.
