The Granary was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we could have needed. We loved the peaceful location. There are a number of good pubs to eat in the very local area. We tried the Cripple Creek and the Chain bridge - both excellent....

This is a holiday cottage in what used to be a granary on a working farm in the beautiful rolling hills of Abergavenny. Accessed via stone steps facilitated by a handrail, you'll enter the cottage into the hall. There is an open plan lounge come bedroom, separate kitchen and separate bathroom. Free parking is available on the farm yard. Stunning views from the farm, this is a perfect location for numerous countryside walks, some nice local pubs, and a short drive to Abergavenny or Brecon.
If you need any help, or have questions for us, please knock on the main farmhouse door, or phone me.
Our farm is on the side of a hill, with stunning panoramic views of surrounding countryside. We have a gothic castle in our front field, and our only neighbours are sheep and cows and the local wildlife. There is a CAMRA pub 5 minutes walk away. Local pubs with food include The Cripple Creek (about 2 miles along the road), The Ship in Raglan (3 mile drive), The Beaufort also in Raglan, The Black Bear, The 1861, and The Skirrid Inn (oldest pub in Wales, and said to be haunted). A 4 mile walk along the banks of the River Usk will lead you to The Chainbridge Inn (it's a lovely walk, but the pub has now closed). We are about 2 miles away from the wedding venue Sant Ffraed House. Only a short drive away are the market towns of Usk, Abergavenny, Monmouth, and Brecon. We are within half an hours drive of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. You'll need a car to travel to any shops. There are many walks around here, on footpaths through the farm, and onto the surrounding countryside. Buses to Abergavenny are about one an hour.
