Property information

The Paragon was originally built as a lodging house, being completed circa 1845 to coincide with the arrival of the railway in the July of 1845 and the completion of the line from York. Today, The Paragon is still offering quality B&B accommodation to visitors to Scarborough and has for the last four generations been run by the same family. The property is a Victorian mid-terrace over 6 floors with reception and guest sea-view bar and lounge situated on the upper ground floor and the dining room on the lower ground floor. The individually decorated bedrooms are located on the upper 4 floors and are accessible by stairs only of which 8 boast spectacular views of Scarborough’s North Bay and the ruins of Henry II’s mid-12th century Castle and Keep.

Neighbourhood information

We are a 10 minute walk into the heart of Scarborough for shopping or first class dinning. We have one of the best Micro brewery pubs in Scarborough just 150 meters away. Of course the North Bays Blue Flag beach is within 5 minutes walk as is the historic Peasholm Park with its beautiful floral displays and Naval Warfare Battle. The Open Air theatre concert venue is a 5 minute walk. Every year the Alan Ayckbourn Theatre In The Round produces world class plays and hosts many touring companies.
