The Piggery is a bijou, self-contained barn conversion situated on the outskirts of the lovely Staffordshire Moorlands village of Ipstones. A perfect spot to enjoy the wonderful footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep, Alton Towers, The Roaches, The Derbyshire Dales and the Potteries of Stoke. Peacefully situated up a gated driveway off a quiet lane. Enjoy the countryside view from the terrace; light the fire bowl and relax! This is like glamping for little piggies who sensibly want their holiday home made from stone!

The Piggery is on a smallholding bought by me and My Dad a few years ago when he retired from his farm a few miles away and I was looking for a new house and a bit of land to keep my horses. We are lucky to be close to my sister and we lamb her sheep here in Spring. They can be seen jumping for joy from your bedroom window! As well as sheep, a Clydesdale and a miniature Shetland we are keen gardeners. I take care of the borders and Dad mows! We are keen to take care of our environment and limit our damage to the planet. Our cleaning products are Eco friendly and tea and coffee is Fair Trade. You will find shampoo and body wash in a replenished dispenser in the shower (to cut our use of the throwaway mini bottles) and I leave a half-pint of milk in the fridge rather than the UHT cartons. I have too many hobbies to list and not enough time to enjoy them all (a tale too familiar I'm sure) but I am devoted to yoga, which helps me body, mind and spirit.

Our location is a great base for trips to Alton Towers (peace after the hustle-bustle), trips into the Peak District, The Roaches or the steam railway at Chutney Valley.
