Steeped in history, Tregoose Old Mill dates back to 1750 and stands on the site of an old monastery which befell the anger of Henry VIII during the reformation. The original altar stone can still be seen in the garden and the stone that was used to build the mill is reportedly from the former monastery. A working flour mill has been on this site since the late 1400’s and stopped milling in the 1920’s. The original waterwheel was destroyed many years ago when a group of local boys re opened the mill leat which then washed away the decaying wood structure leaving only part of the original mill wheel spindle which can still be seen on the lower side of the building.

Situated on a quiet country lane nestled into the woods in this stunning countryside valley, The Pigsty and Spa Garden offers everything you need and so much more for your escape to Cornwall. Relax in the garden with woodland views, take a sauna or unwind in the wood fired hot tub with the sound of the Cornish countryside as your soundtrack. There is even an outdoor cold shower to invigorate the senses after your sauna experience. It does not get much more romantic than this. The shaker style kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge with freezer box, oven, hobs, toaster and kettle along with crockery, glassware, cutlery, bake and cookware for use during your time with us. The kitchen diner has a lovely sit up dining table with woodland views. The super cosy snug has a log burner, comfy sofa that you can sink into, TV with Freeview channels and even a record player. The luxury bedroom with underfloor heating is situated in a brand-new extension and also offers woodland views. There is a King-size wrought iron bed with a super comfy mattress, dressed in high quality bedding and linen, perfect for a lay in. The chic monochrome designed en suite shower room offers a rain fall shower head, toiletries, heated towel rail and natural daylight. Guests will enjoy oversized fluffy towels and bath robes. A large private seating area, with garden and outdoor lighting, enables guests to relax and enjoy this secluded sun trap. The Spa Garden offers a sauna, outdoor cold shower and wood fired hot tub. Two bags of logs and kindling provided for the hot tub. Sufficient wood is provided for a hot tub experience and a starter pack of wood is also provided for the log burner. Additional wood can be purchased locally or from the hosts. Dedicated off street parking is available. The Pigsty can accommodate a maximum of two adults. Children and pets are strictly not allowed.
