The upstairs apartment of The Pink Cottage is a tranquil, cosy and stylish space with breath-taking sea views and a private secluded garden with a luxurious Summer House to unwind in! Nestled in your own secluded Secret Garden is a charming, Victorian inspired Summer House, a quiet hideaway to switch off, slow down, and unwind. It's the perfect rural getaway based at the start of the Causeway Coast Route, which has amazing landmarks with spectacular scenery, including The Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. The first of these, the dramatic Gobbins Cliff Path, a network of walkways and suspension bridges that hug the dramatic basalt cliff face is only 5mins from The Pink Cottage. The cottage itself is situated on a stunning headland walk, leading to Blackhead Lighthouse and further on is the Victorian town of Whitehead. The Pink Cottage was built with traditional stone over 200 yrs ago and restored in 2021 to provide a hidden haven of luxury and tranquility. The comfy king-size sumptuous bed and the roll top bath are there to ensure your rejuvenation (bath salts provided)! It has original little sash windows through which is a beautiful sea view. Many pieces of furniture are original antiques with a long history and a story to tell (if they could). There's WiFi and a smart TV so you can catch-up on Netflix and the other channels. Enjoy

I am an interior designer and have just renovated my little Pink Cottage which I now host! Your accommodation is the entire upstairs. It is private and separate with your own lockable entrance door from the cottage hallway. Myself and my husband, David, usually work in the 2 downstairs rooms which are our separate home offices. I have recently upgraded the guest experience with a SUMMER HOUSE - nestled in your own secluded Secret Garden is a charming, Victorian inspired Summer House, a quiet hideaway to switch off, slow down, and unwind. There’s a large living area with a little dining space should you want to prepare your own food. You'll find a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle along with utensils and chopping board. All this is so you can easily dine-in and heat food if you wish! All plates, bowls, glasses and wine and prosecco glasses are supplied. You'll find some lovely complimentary breakfast items waiting for you. No need to remember to do a shop for basics before you get here! If you love good coffee there is ground coffee and a cafetiere and for tea lovers there's a little selection, including loose leaf tea and an infuser teapot for the perfect brew! Milk, luxury muesli, Irish organic porridge, jams and butter. The fridge is also perfect to chill beer, wine or Prosecco so you can relax and enjoy a glass of something in the evening...maybe even in the Secret Garden!

The Pink Cottage is actually located on a lane that leads to the Blackhead Coastal Path. A 10min stroll takes you to a lighthouse where you'll find access to a walk with rugged and dramatic views. Then some steep steps lead down to sea level and the path leads eventually on to the victorian town of Whitehead. If you want to eat out locally you can walk (5 mins) along the lane to the Whitehead Golf Club restaurant. They're well known for their steak. You can enjoy 10% discount in the restaurant, just mention you're staying in The Pink Cottage! There's also another lovely bar restaurant in Whitehead, the Whitecliff Inn. If you don't mind a 40 min walk along the waters edge and including the Golden Steps staircase which leads down to sea level from the Pink Cottage, you could walk there and back...torches provided! There's plenty of parking if you prefer (call to book). The Gobbins cliff path is only 5min away, with steel suspension bridges above the waves is a must-see!
