The Thoresby is a grade 2 listed Victorian building, with an impressive façade with a Georgian Style Bay windows. Inside the guest house we have tall ceilings, original plaster covings in the reception, Studio and Apartment lounge, all of our rooms are decorated to a neutral colour scheme.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, The Thoresby Guest house offers room only accommodation in Scarborough. in 2021 we added the new featured rear decking and sitting area with views over north bay. You will find a kettle in the room. The majority of our rooms have a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Two rooms on the third floor have access to a shared bathroom. A flat-screen TV is available in each room. Our premium rooms are the Studio located on the upper ground floor with its own access from either the communal front door or key access to the rear door. The Apartment has its own private entrance from the front of the property and features a split level from the lower ground to the upper ground floor. On arrival we introduce you to the access control system and describe the local area to make your stay as productive as possible. The rear of the guest house has clear sea views from each one of our rooms.

We are centrally located on the North Bay, Peasholm Park, North Beach and the Castle are only 5 minutes, the town is approx 10 minutes. We have many pubs, shops and breakfast bars all a short walk away Train station is a 15 minute walk, we provide free on road parking with a permit for our guests.
