The Tractor House is situated on a fully working beef/sheep farm. Owned and run by the Postlethwaite family since the 1960's. Expect sheep running past your window, children dashing around on bikes and go-carts, roosters crowing at 4am and dogs coming to say hello.
We restored this property in 2022, previously used as a Tractor House/shed, dating back to the 1700's. An upside down house with .original oak support beams.
The village of Urswick is a perfectly quaint, quiet place. The local pub is only a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive, serving delicious food (especially their Sunday Roast)! From the pub you can purchase a fishing license for Urswick Tarn, accessible from the fields belonging to the farm. There are plenty of walks directly from the farm, including Birkrigg Common which takes you over to Morcambe Bay.
