The nearest train station is 8km from the address in Bodmin NOT 32km away in Newquay as my profile suggests. (Booking Dot Com's computer generated profile!!) It has all modern facilities of a house built in 2017 and these are all available to guests. The guest bedroom is spacious with a very comfy double bed You will have the use of a large shared bathroom very nearby. There are welcome gifts for all guests in their room. There is also a comprehensive hot drinks table with fridge, kettle and all requisites. Guests will also have a library of local information and maps next to the bed. There is also plenty of wardrobe storage. As guests you will have the use of every room in the house (except for Richard's office and bedroom up stairs). The Kitchen is fully equipped and Richard is happy to make sure any dietary needs are covered. Breakfast is on a DIY basis but you are welcome to consume what you can find. Bread, cheese, eggs cereal milk etc etc The sitting room is comfortable and inviting and guests have full use of the array of sky/netfix/britbox/disney+ channels. There is a library of books and DVD's which guests are welcome to sample during their stay. There is a large well maintained garden at the rear of the property with seating. You will also meet the adorable Pumpkin, the house cat who will perform her favourite trick without request! There are washing and drying facilities available on request for a small charge

Richard treats his guests as old friends or relations and he hopes that his reciprocated by the guests, and of course Richard is always at pains to say but they are even more welcome as they pay when they darken his doors! He is a friendly, 68 year old Retired Police Officer who moved to Cornwall in November 2021. with his black cat Pumpkin.. He is a stage raconteur. (story teller to you and I) so be prepared to be regaled by his tales if your choose. [Please be assured that he won't be offended if you have better things to do and choose not to listen! just tell that you are "a celebrity get me out of here" and that will shut him up!!] Richard has also made himself familiar with a lot of the history of the region and things worth doing in Cornwall... and he's happy to assist guests with any help they need to optimise their itinerary. If he available, Richard is also happy to ensure his guests are able to get to any desired destination if they staying without a car at their disposal. Richard is also he is happy to collect guests arriving by train at Bodmin Parkway or Newquay Airport or even Newquay Railway Station if you feel the need.

The Dymond Court is in a quiet area right on edge border of town and country. There are a number of attractions within easy distance of the property Most important of these is the Bodmin Jail (500m away), now a Hotel and tourist attraction which is thought to be the most haunted building in the UK. Richard will be happy to arrange a 9pm ghost tour if you are staying on the right day of the week. The town of has a Military museum, an historic railway with 'Murder Evenings' The Eden Centre is only a short distance away. and the area is surrounded by beautiful locations such as Lanhydrock , The Lost Gardens of Heligan. and Tintagel Castle There also great walks for all abilities on Bodmin Moor. Bodmin's central location gives easy access to both North and South Coasts. and it's beautiful beaches and villages such as Padstow, Post Isaac, Boscastle, Fowey, Charlestown.
