The Woodlands Bed and Breakfast is set in a tranquil area at the top of Ironbridge Gorge. We are a 10 minute walk from the famous Bridge and a 20 minute walk back up the hill. Please note we are at the top of the Gorge. We have 2 cats who are very much part of the team here, so if you have allergies we would not be the best option for you. Cat friendly well behaved dogs are allowed. They must be kept on a lead at all times in the property but can have a runabout on the local nature reserve opposite. PLEASE NOTE if your dog shows any sign of aggression towards our cats or the wildlife on our land. You will be requested to leave. Sorry but we cannot take any other pet animals . Our cats have the run of the property, as it is their home. We offer three modern rooms with ensuite showers. The bedrooms have complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, desk, chair and open wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities. You are able to log onto all the popular TV streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer, ITVX with our televisions . Outside we have seating areas for you to enjoy the tranquillity and views. We are still work in progress outside and are offering a reduced rate currently until the landscaping is near completion . Each room has a box that contains blankets, citronella candles and a lighter. We provide a relaxing hub to explore Shropshire and highly recommend the numerous museums in the area. The museums in the Ironbridge Area will come under the control of the National Trust In March 2026. Making this an exciting place to visit and explore all it has to offer. We are a short drive from the Telford international centre. ( 3 miles /11mins) . We offer an early start takeaway breakfast, for people attending trade events or any other type of event .
We enjoy living here as the area has a calm relaxed feeling and is very friendly. Marian Is a retired nurse but has recently trained as a Celebrant and Dave works in IT and on the garden. We have 2 cats Bob and Felix.
We can be used as a base to explore the whole of Shropshire or nights out in Ironbridge. There are numerous museums in the area that offer a wide variety of exhibits for all ages. The main street in Ironbridge offers an eclectic range of shopping experiences . We are an 11minute drive from the Telford International centre
