Thirsk Hall South Wing Flat is a stylish two-bedroom flat sleeping up to 4 guests which is situated in the market town of Thirsk. Thirsk Hall is a Carr of York, Georgian House which as been in the same family for 300 years. The two-bedroom flat sleeps 4 people. One of the bedroom is a king room and the second room can be set out in a super king or twin room configuration, please notify on booking how you wish to set out the second bedroom. There is a large sitting room that overlooks the garden and park land. The well-equipped kitchen has a large dining table. The market square is just a two-minute walk from the flat. There is a designated area for you to enjoy the garden, equipped with a table and chairs as well as a barbecue. The garden is south facing so you can enjoy the sunsets. Please note that the Sculpture Park is set within the grounds of Thirsk Hall and for 2021 will be open by appointment only; we ask that guests staying kindly keep the garden tidy at all times and keep music volumes to a minimum.

Daisy and Bill live at Thirsk Hall with their two young boys. They have a very friendly dog, Stella. It is likely you will see her in the garden. They also have a cat, Tommy.

Thirsk is on the doorstep of the North Yorkshire Moors, which provides endless walks to suit all abilities. There are some fantastic local pubs as well as some Michelin and other award winning pubs such as the Black Swan at Oldstead and The Star Inn at Hareom. Thirsk is a historic market town with a fantastic array of local shops. We do encourage our guests to shop and support local wherever you can – we have award-winning local butchers, a greengrocer, deli and lots of independent coffee shops. Thirsk’s train station is 1.5 miles from Thirsk Hall Flat, East Coast and Grand Central trains run regularly from Sunderland, Edinburgh and London. If you’re coming by car, Thirsk is located just off the A1 and the A19, 15 minutes from Helmsley, 20 minutes from Ripon, 30 minutes from Harrogate, 35 minutes from York and 45 minutes from Leeds. The coast is 40 minutes by car.
